1. Accepting these terms
By downloading, purchasing, or using OwnStems, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. Limited license
You receive a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use OwnStems on compatible Apple devices under these terms and Apple’s usage rules. You may not copy, resell, rent, reverse engineer, or interfere with the app except where applicable law expressly permits it.
3. Authorized music only
You may process only music or audio you created, or material for which you control every right and permission needed for processing and export. This includes the recording, composition, lyrics, performances, production, and each sample or incorporated element. If someone else contributed, you are responsible for securing permission first.
4. Prohibited uses
You may not use OwnStems for commercial releases or other third-party recordings; audio downloaded or captured from streaming services; covers, remixes, or collaborations without full permission; uncontrolled samples or performances; or any use that violates law or another person’s rights.
5. Your music and outputs
You keep the rights you already hold in your source music and output. OwnStems does not claim ownership of either. Using the app does not create rights in material owned by another person or replace legal clearance.
6. Included use and lifetime unlock
OwnStems includes three successful full-song separations at no charge. Failed or canceled separations do not use the allowance. Continued use requires the lifetime unlock shown in the app. The unlock is a one-time in-app purchase, not a subscription. Apple administers billing, restoration, and refunds.
7. Results and device requirements
Quality and processing time vary with the recording, arrangement, device, storage, memory, and thermal conditions. Vocal traces or artifacts may remain. OwnStems does not guarantee perfect isolation or fitness for a particular professional or commercial purpose.
8. Availability and third-party components
Features may change as devices and operating systems evolve. Third-party components are governed by their own licenses; see Credits.
9. Disclaimers and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, OwnStems is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties not required by law. OwnStems and its developer are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of data, revenue, or opportunity arising from use of the app. Nothing here limits rights that cannot be excluded under consumer law.
